Starting from October 9, 2025, payment service providers must be capable of receiving instant transfers in accordance with the EU SEPA Instant Credit Transfer Regulation. With an instant transfer, the money moves to the recipient in real time and irrevocably every day of the year, regardless of the time of day. During the transfer, it is verified that the bank account and the recipient's name match. This aims to prevent fraud and erroneous transfers.
Impact on Paf Withdrawals
Going forward, we will send all bank withdrawals as instant transfers from Osuuspankki. Many banks have already adopted instant transfers before the deadline, but some banks are still behind. These banks will not be available as withdrawal options at Paf until the change has been made.
